Larger repairs0% for six months
A way to spread the cost of a bigger repair.
A transmission or a major engine repair does not always land at a convenient time. Baxley’s offers a Synchrony Financial credit line so a necessary repair does not have to wait on a paycheck.
Synchrony Financial0% on $199 or more
How the credit line works
Baxley’s offers a Synchrony Financial credit line with 0% interest on purchases of $199 or more, as long as the balance is paid off within six months. There is no annual fee, and the account is managed online. It is a way to cover a larger job, like a transmission or a major engine repair, without paying interest if you clear it inside that six-month window.
We also describe options like buy-now-pay-later plans and third-party payment providers as ways to spread the cost of significant repair work. Approval and exact terms depend on the provider and your application, so we go through the specifics with you at the counter rather than promise a number here that we cannot guarantee.
Every job still starts with a written estimate
Financing does not change how we work. You get a written estimate before any repair begins, and you decide then whether to pay outright or use the credit line. Nothing is charged and nothing is financed without your say-so first.

Where it tends to helpBigger tickets
The kind of job people usually finance
Not every repair needs a payment plan. An oil change or a set of brake pads is rarely worth financing. The credit line tends to make more sense on the larger jobs, the ones a car owner did not budget for that month.
Under the hoodTransmission
A transmission replacement, including one built around a Jasper remanufactured unit, is one of the bigger bills a shop can hand you. It is exactly the kind of job the 0% window on $199 or more is meant for.
Charging systemAlternator & starter
Electrical and charging repairs, alternators, starters and battery replacement, can add up quickly, particularly on a vehicle where more than one part has to be replaced at the same time.
CoolingA/C compressor work
Air conditioning repairs that involve a compressor or condenser, not just a recharge, are another place a bigger bill can show up without much warning.
Whatever the job, we still recommend service every 5,000 to 7,500 miles as the way to catch smaller problems before they turn into one of these larger repairs.
Before you decideHours & the shop
Come by, or call, and we’ll go through it together
Baxley’s is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday until 5:00 PM, closed weekends. Walk-ins are welcome whenever the bay is free, and while your car is with us for a bigger job, we run a complimentary local taxi service to and from the shop so financing a repair doesn’t also mean being stranded without a vehicle.
Baxley’s has served Benton, Bryant and Salem since 1990. That is 36 years of explaining repair costs to the same community, and we would rather walk you through what a job actually needs and how to pay for it than push a plan that doesn’t fit.
No surprisesEstimate first, financing second
Financing is a way to pay, not a way to skip the estimate
We still scan a warning light free of charge, still inspect the car before we price anything, and still put the estimate in writing for your approval. The financing conversation happens once you know what the job actually costs, so you are choosing how to pay for a number you already agreed to, not deciding on the spot with an incomplete picture.
And the work itself is still backed by our 2-year, 24,000-mile warranty on parts and labor, whichever comes first, whether you pay outright or use the credit line.
