Baxley’s Auto Repair is a family-owned, independent shop at 200 Longhills Rd W in Benton, Arkansas. We have worked on cars from Benton, Bryant and Salem since 1990, and the same warranty applies to a job we did last week or a job we did ten years ago: 2 years or 24,000 miles on parts and labor, whichever comes first.

That is the whole team, standing under our own sign on Longhills Road. It is the same shop, the same building, and mostly the same faces you will find there if you drop a car off this week. When you call, you are talking to somebody who works in the bay, not a call center reading a ticket number back to you.
We do not put a name on the door as the founder, because a shop this size runs on the whole crew, not one person’s name. What we can tell you is what the shop has done consistently since 1990: looked at the car first, written the estimate second, and stood behind the work after.

Baxley’s Auto Repair, sometimes called Baxley’s Garage around town, has been family-owned since it opened in 1990. We are still at 200 Longhills Rd W in Benton, and we still serve the same three towns we always have: Benton, Bryant and Salem, and the wider Saline County around them.
“Full-service” means we are not a specialist counter that only does one job well. Brakes, check engine lights, air conditioning, oil changes and maintenance, transmissions, exhaust, tires and alignment, steering and suspension, and electrical and charging problems all come through the same bays, on most makes and models, domestic and foreign. If it drives into Benton, it generally drives back out of here.

Every repair we do carries a 2-year or 24,000-mile warranty on parts and labor, whichever comes first. That is not a number a sign painter chose. It is a number we have to honor if a job comes back, which is exactly why we would rather diagnose a car properly the first time than get it out of the lot quickly. When a condenser we fitted developed a hole a couple of years later, the truck was covered under that same warranty, no argument, no asterisk.

Held to a standard outside our own shop
We are members of the Automotive Service Association and Automotive Service Excellence. Those are outside standards, not something we award ourselves, and belonging to them is part of why we run the shop the way we do: inspect first, write the estimate, get your approval, then fix it.
When an engine or transmission needs replacing rather than repairing, we fit Jasper remanufactured units, and we sell Interstate batteries at the counter. On every job we explain the trade-off between OEM and aftermarket parts for your specific repair, and you decide which one goes on the car.

Warning lightScanned free
A warning light gets scanned free of charge before anything else happens. A loose gas cap and a real engine fault can throw the same amber light, and you should not pay to find out which one you have.

You get a written estimate after we have actually looked at the vehicle, not a number guessed over the phone. Nothing is taken apart on a guess.
Your callApproved before we start
Work does not begin until you have said yes to what is on that estimate. If we find something else once we are in there, you hear about it before it gets added to the bill.
While we workRide home included
A ride home while we work
We run a complimentary local taxi service to and from the shop while your vehicle is with us, because a repair should not also cost you a day of standing around a waiting room. Walk-ins are welcome whenever the bay is free, and if it is not, we will tell you honestly what the day looks like when you call.

Benton, Bryant and Salem, and the rest of Saline County in between. We also run fleet service, diesel service, emissions system repair, and pickup and delivery for customers who cannot get the car to us themselves.
