Not every check engine light means a new converter
A catalytic converter code can be triggered by the converter itself, or by an oxygen sensor, an exhaust leak upstream of it, or a misfire that is dumping unburned fuel into the system and overworking a converter that was otherwise fine. We scan the code for free and inspect the whole exhaust path before recommending a converter replacement, so you are not paying for the most expensive part on the shelf when the actual fault is a forty-dollar sensor or a leaking gasket further up the line.

Exhaust manifold leaks are easy to hear and hard to pin down from ground level, which is why we do this work up on the lift rather than sliding underneath the car on a driveway jack.
