Oil Changes & Maintenance in Benton, AR
Synthetic, conventional or high-mileage oil, a new filter, fluid levels checked and a multi-point inspection, so small problems get caught before they turn into a tow.
Maintenance is the cheapest repair you will ever buy
Every vehicle that comes through our doors for brakes, a transmission or a check engine light started somewhere. Most of the time it started as a service interval that got pushed back a few months, then a year. We change the oil, but the appointment is really about the multi-point inspection that goes with it: belts, hoses, fluid levels, tire wear, the things that are cheap to fix in this bay and expensive to ignore on the highway.
What actually happens on the lift
We ask what oil your manufacturer specifies and use it, whether that is conventional, full synthetic or a high-mileage blend for a car with real miles on it. The filter gets changed with it, not left for next time. While the car is up, we check the air filter, spark plugs and timing belt condition and tell you honestly what is due now versus what can wait. Nothing gets replaced without you agreeing to it first.
Baxley's has been doing this from 200 Longhills Rd W since 1990. Call (501) 466-7483.

Recommended intervalEvery 5,000 to 7,500 miles
The interval depends on how you actually drive
Manufacturer schedules assume average driving. Short trips around Benton, a lot of stop and go on 67/167, or towing a trailer out to Salem all shorten that window. We look at your mileage and your driving pattern rather than reciting the same 5,000-mile number to every car that rolls in, and we will tell you if your specific vehicle can safely stretch further on synthetic before you pay for a change it does not need yet.
Skipping intervals is the single most common reason a transmission or an engine ends up on our lift for something bigger than an oil change. Dirty oil and low fluid levels do their damage slowly, and by the time a warning light comes on the wear is already done. Staying on schedule is the cheapest insurance we sell, and we do not charge extra for saying so.

One appointment, not four separate ones
An oil change appointment at Baxley's also covers the parts that wear on the same schedule: the engine air filter, cabin air filter, spark plugs and the timing belt. Rather than sending you home and calling you back in for each one separately, we check all of them while your car is already up and give you a written estimate for anything that is due, priced before any of it comes apart. What is fine gets left alone. We are not in the business of replacing parts that still have life in them.
Walk-ins are welcome whenever the bay is free, and most maintenance visits are done in under an hour. If you would rather not wait, the complimentary local taxi will run you home and pick you back up in Benton, Bryant or Salem when the car is ready.
